The Winchester Royal Hotel

 

The Winchester Royal Hotel had become tired and lost some of its charm.  Together with Akkeron Hotels and NBC Contracting we were able to breathe new life into this historic coaching inn.

 

We decided to research how the hotel had once looked and we found some fascinating photographs of Winchester and the surrounding area.  Using these, the modern bedroom wing had its 50 rooms and bathrooms fully refurbished in a contemporary style but still remained true to the history of the building.  The Writing Room, the hotel's private dining room, contains a history of the hotel dating back to the 15th century.

 

Throughout the project we have been careful to restore the original fabric of the building whilst keeping the style current and contemporary.  The hotel now has its charm back.
